This shelter operates as an emergency placement for children in the
custody of the Department of Family
and Children Services.

and improve the quality of life in Henry County.

exists as an advocate for the well-being of children, youth and
families in Henry County, and as a planning and coordinating agency for
services and programs directed at improving child health, child
development, family function, school performance, and family economic
capacity.

Child & Adult protective services. Financial and insurance
assistance available on income eligibility.
- McIntosh Trail Community Service Board - Henry County

mental health and substance abuse services to children, adolescents
& families.
Accepts all Medicaid coverage and provides sliding-scale fees for
uninsured families.
- Odyssey Family Counseling Center. 169 Decatur Road,

Provides comprehensive services for domestic violence, trauma recovery
and precention. Services include:
general mental health, parenting classes, battered women's support
group, grief & loss, men's domestic
violence group, trauma recovery, families of homicide victimes group
and crime victim's services.
- Haven House. (770) 954-9229 (24-hour Crisis Line). Help
for domestic violence victims.
Includes an emergency shelter, counseling and support groups.
- Southern Crescent Sexual Assault Center. (770) 603-4045
(office); (770) 477-2177 (Crisis Line).
Provides much needed services to survivors of sexual assault in the
South Metro area. Services
include 24-hour crisis line; hospital, police & court
accompaniment; victim advocacy; counseling;
education programs for youth, children & adults; and resource
referral network.
- Healing
Wounded Hearts. PO Box 1554, Hampton GA 30228. (404)
819-6049. A non-profit, faith-based organization offering ministry to
broken and hurting women,
especially those women dealing with loss, abuse, emotional struggles
and strongholds.
