Pre-Marriage Education

 

        

   A solid 6 hours of relationship education and counseling.  Enables a couple to look at very important issues in their relationship.  

 

Suggested prior to the wedding or 6 months into the marriage.

Meets state requirements: 6 hours of instruction  

  Materials:  Dr. John Gottman, Seven Principles that Make a Marriage Work.  A review of the materials and exercise.

 Six (6) one hour sessions

First Saturday of Each Month:  9:00AM - 4:00PM

  • Marriage Relationship:  Building a Strong Marriage

  • Preparing & Enriching Your Relationship

  • Assertiveness and Active Listening Skills

  • Ten Steps for Resolving Couple Conflict

  • Family of Origin Issues:  Closeness and Flexibility

  • Spiritual Commitment and Growth

  • Financial Discussion/Planning/Budgeting

  • Making Your Goals a Reality  

Cost: $145* which includes the Assessment and all materials (*Discounts if your church supports this program.) 

This program meets the Georgia requirements for a discount on your marriage license.  A certificate will be given at the completion of the two sessions.  Other arrangements can be made to complete the program if you cannot attend the Saturday program.
