Marriage 101   

A Basic Education Program for Long Term Relationships

Who should take this course:  Every married couple should take this course!

A program of marriage relationship development.  

Includes 6 core curriculum programs that are essential for good healthy relationship growth.              

Each module is a one day, 6 hour, course that includes:

                                   Rules, Roles and Finances                                         “Family of Origin” Issues and Interests

                                   Sexuality and Intimacy                                                Planning for Future Growth

            One module is offered each month.  The complete program can be started at any of the modules and is designed to be spread over a 6 month period (we do not meet in December).

           Completion of the program requires an initial interview for 1 ½ hours, attendance at the 6 core programs, a 1 hour private session each month, and  an exit session after completing the core sessions.  A $50 gift certificate is awarded each couple who completes  the program within a year’s time.  

           This program is primarily for a couple in the first few years of their marriage when the interaction patterns are being set; that includes  remarried couples who “want to do it right this time.”  The sessions are conducted in an accepting, supportive atmosphere in which all discussion is confidential, non-confrontive and voluntary.  All couples who want a lasting, durable relationship should take this course.

           The sessions are limited in the number of couples enrolled.  Scholarships for this program may be available and discounts if your church supports MWs Pastoral Care Center.
